BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants. The first BarCamps focused on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats. I attended Barcamp Nigeria on behalf of SWAT. (more…)

Our Web has no future in Africa
There is much talk about the coming of the Web to Africa. Much of it completely misdirected, in my opinion. The web has already arrived in Africa – there was simply very little uptake. (more…)
